Right. So add this to the many tumblr posts about Whole30. People say it isn’t a diet, but let’s be real. This is definitely a diet. Not eating anything but vegetables, protein and fruit is absolutely a weight loss program. No one does this to gain weight.
My friend Megan started this, so I decided to join her. I don’t have food allergies like she does, but I am all about losing the weight. The first day was yesterday, and I’m going to try and keep a log of my activity/how I feel. Maybe I’ll post some pictures of food. I do love Instagram, after all.
Starting weight: 198.00 lbs
I’ve been this weight (give or take 10 lbs) for years. I’ve never put the actual work into losing the weight I gained after I stopped playing soccer in high school…7 years ago. So this is me starting that work. We’ll see what happens. They say you aren’t supposed to weigh yourself during the Whole30, but I’ll probably do it once a week.
Yesterday was pretty easy (food-wise). Breakfast: veggies, eggs, salsa, black coffee, orange. Lunch: cold chicken, green bell pepper slices, apple, cashews. Dinner: Beef & broccoli stir fry. The hardest part was denying myself the delicious snacks that my sister & brother-in-law have in their apartment. [Right now this airport smells like egg mcmuffins, which is not fair.]
I think after a week of this, I’m going to get really bored.
